About Us

Our History

We were founded in the good city of Richmond, Virginia by Brian Penczak in 2022 as Penczak Audio Productions. Very quickly we realized that we would be expanding outside the realm of audio production. Faced with an identity crisis, we had to ask ourselves, what is it that we do as a company? The answer... well, we do the AV stuff. Hence, theAV was born.

"Hi everybody. I am the founder of theAV and serve as the primary technician for most of the services we offer. Studio, live sound, lighting... if it's production related I probably do it. I got into doing production work because of my love of music. I've been playing drums since the 4th grade and have picked up various other instruments since then. It's always been my dream to have my own studio. When I'm working on your mix in the studio, it's not just business, it's personal."
